The first time the application is opened, the user will see a screen with the Polyfolio logo, a background with various objects representing various skills, and a “Start the tour” button. This single button prompts the user to select it to continue to the next screen.
This will take them to the carousel slides where they can see a quick tour detailing the purpose of Polyfolio and who it is meant to help. Mobile-savvy users have the option to swipe on the graphic to go through the carousel slides to read through the tour. The green line on the right edge of the first slide indicates that there is more to see if you advance to the right. Meanwhile more casual mobile users can use the 3 dots at the bottom of the slides to navigate through. It is possible that both of these user types may notice and understand this green line and use the swipe method. At any slide users can select the “Continue” button to advance to the next screen.
The user is brought to the Sign In screen where they can enter their username or e-mail along with their password. If the user doesn’t have an account, they can select the “Sign up” link at the bottom of the screen, bringing them to a Sign Up screen. When a username and password is input the app will check to see if both match. If they do, the borders of the input fields will turn green and a checkmark icon will show; indicating that the login is a match. The “Sign In” button will turn white, cueing the user can now sign in.
